Jackfruit

Jackfruit is a large tropical fruit native to South and Southeast Asia. It is known for its spiky green exterior and the yellow, fibrous flesh inside, which is often used in both sweet and savory dishes. When ripe, jackfruit has a sweet flavor similar to a combination of banana, pineapple, and mango.

Unripe jackfruit, on the other hand, has a more neutral taste and a meat-like texture, making it a popular meat substitute in vegetarian and vegan cooking. It is particularly famous for being used in dishes like jackfruit curry or pulled jackfruit "pork."

In addition to its culinary uses, jackfruit is also nutritious, being a good source of vitamins, minerals, and dietary fiber.
